Boots Ireland and The Irish Cancer Society Celebrate €2.5 Million Raised Over 10 Year Partnership

This year, Boots Ireland and the Irish Cancer Society celebrate 10 years of partnership. Over the last 10 years, Boots Ireland has raised €2.5 million for the Irish Cancer Society Night Nursing service. Since the relationship began in 2012, Boots Ireland team members, patients and customers have come together to raise funds for this essential service to ensure cancer patients receive the end-of-life care needed allowing them to remain in their own home.

Since 2012, €2.5 million has been raised for the Irish Cancer Society Night Nursing service which equates to 7,200 nights of Night Nursing care. 10 Boots Night Walks have taken place with more than 5,000 participants who walked over 25,000 kilometres. Boots stores across Ireland now have over 190 Boots Irish Cancer Society Information Pharmacists and over 50 Boots Cancer Beauty Advisors, making support and information more available to those who need it most.

Stephen Watkins, Managing Director of Boots Ireland, says “We are particularly proud of this partnership and the difference that our Team Members and customers have made to the lives of so many. As a company, we will continue to support those living with cancer through initiatives both in and out of stores. Our beauty advisors and pharmacists receive specific training to support those going through treatment and indeed their carers with the aim of providing a safe and supportive space. We look forward to continued success in supporting the Irish Cancer Society in the wonderful work that they do”.
